I have seven years’ experience in various French and Spanish-speaking technical support and customer service roles. For three years I was also an in-house translator at Cook Medical, a global medical device manufacturer. I translated Product Complaints from French to English and the attendant Investigation Results from English to French. As such, I have a superb command of technical French and especially anything involving the medical device industry. Over five years at Cook Medical, I held the following positions:

  • Assistant Quality Coordinator

  • French Tenders Representative

  • Technical Datasheets Administrator (Assistant to the Product Specialist)

Eager to get back to my true passions – writing and working with the French language, rather than simply in it – I decided to take the leap into freelance translation. Both professionally and personally, this is proving to be one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Through my studies, I also possess a wealth of translation theory knowledge to back up my practical skills. I hold an M.A. in French and Comparative Literature from the University of Kent at Paris (Distinction) and a B.A. in Languages and Cultural Studies from the University of Limerick (First Class Honours).
